Hello and welcome to my site! My name is Christine and I've created this space to share my thoughts and journeys, and to provide a platform for the causes that are important to me.
I am a teacher, dreamer, dancer, traveler, life-long learner, and lover of fashion and natural hair care. I'm married to the love of my life, Liasor, and together we are working to help support the Uduk people living primarily in refugee camps in East Africa. We've both recently finished graduate school and are working on growing in our professions, passions, and faith in Christ.
In school I studied Spanish Language and Literature (undergrad) and International Educational Development (grad) and received my CELTA certification to teach English as a Second Language. I am a language learner and teacher at heart, and I've taught in various locations in the United States and in Spain. I also love helping others travel and learn about the world, other cultures, and languages. I dream of one day working for an international education organization and I hope to always teach ESL. My professional interests include international exchange, second/third language acquisition, English as a Second Language (ESL), refugee and immigration issues, education in refugee contexts, education in multilingual contexts, and culturally sensitive ESL instruction.
Here you'll find a collection of thoughts and beautiful moments surrounding travel, life, education, refugee issues, natural hair care, fashion, spiritual growth & devotion, and personal & professional growth.
Thanks for stopping by!
